Biography

Gundars Bērziņš is the Dean of the Faculty of Business,Management and Economics of the University of Latvia (Doctor’s degree in Management), Corresponding Member of the Latvian Academy of Sciences; Senior Researcher, Institute of Economics and Management, Faculty of Business, Management and Economics, University of Latvia; Member of the Senate Strategy Commission of the University of Latvia (UL); Member of the UL Senate Financial and Budget Commission; Member of UL Senate Academic Staff Group; Member of the Council of the Faculty of Business, Management and Economics of the UL; Member of the Faculty of Business, Management and Economics Strategy Council; Member of the Student Business Incubator Council, UL: Board Member of the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga; Consultant of the International Open Innovation Platform “DEMOLA Latvia” in cooperation with Riga Technical University; Member of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference “New Challenges of Economic and Business Development”, Faculty of Business, Management and Economics, UL; Member of the Organizing Committee of the 4th World Congress of Latvian Scientists, Leader of the Social Sciences Section: “Latvia in the Global Supply and Value Chains”, Member of The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Member of the Editorial Board of the Faculty of Management and Economics, Journal of Economics and Management Research; Expert Rights in Management. Previously held the position of Director of Finance and Accounting Department of the University of Latvia, later Chancellor of the University of Latvia. For a long time also worked in the private business.
