16.09.2019. LAS EPRI organizes presentation of the book “Challenges facing asylum seekers in the European Union and Latvia”

On Monday, September 16, the European Union House hosted the opening ceremony of the book “Challenges facing asylum seekers in the European Union and Latvia” organized by the LAS EPRI and a team of authors.

The authors of the book are Dr. Dagmara Beitner-Le Galla, Vice-Speaker of the Parliament (Saeima) of the Republic of Latvia, Aldis Auster researcher at the LAS EPRI and Zane Rasnača, researcher at the European Trade Union Institute.

The opening of the book was attended by the President of the Republic of Latvia Egils Levits – author of the research idea, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Latvia Jānis Bordāns, Members of the Parliament, representatives of public institutions, academic community, NGOs and press.

Presentation of the book and following discussion of the book was moderated by LAS full member prof. Inna Steinbuka.
